I know I’m late in the game but… I just watched The Happening. Wasn’t that great. The plot twist wasn’t hidden. It was eh.

BUT. The redeeming factor for me was Zooey Deschanel. My wife pokes fun at me for liking her. Sure, she’s attractive in a “normal” kind of way. I probably wouldn’t be a fan if she didn’t have Zooey-isms. She’s a really good actress and brings real personality to her characters. There are plenty of male actors with funny mannerisms (Johnny Depp for one) but I think film expects most actresses to act dumb or tough while being “hot” the whole time. Unless they’re older. It’s just funny to me. Anyways, goodnight.
