I am currently working at Juicy Temples! I am a full-time lead designer and I push my potential every day.

I spent 4 years studying graphic design while I interned at a creative firm called 2820 working with clients like Disney, Universal Studios & Kodak. I also interned on a film for Haxan Films that was distributed and I do have an imdb credit! I have been practicing design professionaly since then for almost 4 years now.

Hey!

Had a great trip to South Carolina the other day. Short notice trip to visit Brandon Advertising and others in Myrtle Beach.

We drove in the pick-up, the four of us, up to SC. Took over 8 hours. Got in Wednesday night around 10/11 pm.

On Thursday I met the mayor, had a meeting, had lunch at “Long Beards” and tried some Elk burgers. They were really good. Met the owner of the small restaurant. After that we went back for another meeting. Watched a presentation for the Hard Rock Park in the Rock n’ Roll room upstairs.

Went to the Hard Rock Park to tour after the meeting. Toured around… really really nice. Kind of “abandoned” and creepy too. Full of unsold merch. At the end of the “tour” with the new Operations Director we went to a double wide trailer full of crates of candy. Candy that’s expiring before the park re-opens. Candy that is getting thrown out if nobody eats it. Sweet! Literally.

Went to PF Chang’s with a bunch of great people. Had a lot of fun. Left Friday morning and got home around 8pm.

Had a good trip. Have a lot of work to do. Pictures are posted on Facebook :)

Broken…

March 2nd, 2009

The bonds have been broken. I feel so refreshed. I feel good. Today as my first day at my new job. I’m actually in an open design environment. I can take an hour for lunch if I want to. I can listen to music without complaints. I’m not in a grey cubicle. I don’t have to present specific “accrued time” to go home 30 minutes early. Nor do I need to make it up. I will, because I do that. I will do fun things. I will do donuts on the forklift.

It’s not all fun and games and I have a lot of challenges in front of me. I welcome them with open arms. Looking forward to challenging myself and having new opportunities.

Don’t get me wrong. Worldwide Brands was great to me. I learned a lot. I had good times, made dear friends. It was time to move on. I was restless and bored. Certain situations were less than favorable. It felt like a dark cloud over my head. My last day I swear… was like seeing the rays of sunlight coming from behind the winter cloud cover, about to reveal spring.

The move went well. Got a little of each room put together. Each room is FUNCTIONAL. Just need to rearrange and arrange some more. It’s nice though. Really nice and quiet. I like it a lot here. It’s growing on me. This all feels like a new life to me. In this case… I think the grass is greener and I don’t have to worry about money for at LEAST another month or two. Just need to keep up some freelance jobs.

Anyone want to trade 2 bass guitars and an amp for an iMac?
