Today was interesting / bad. I’m about to upload some new photos. I dunno what of yet. Just going to.
I can’t say much but I had to say goodbye to a friend, but I didn’t actually get a chance to say goodbye. So that sucks. It was on good terms.
Makayla turned 5 months on Sunday. She likes applesauce a lot. Just waiting for her to roll over…

I’m not sure I’m prepared for a huge update yet today, but I’ll make one anyways.
We finally got to a doctor about Courtney’s knee being hurt. Basically, our primary care doctor doesn’t know what’s going on because the knee pain she was having heals itself. She had some sort of microscopic hairline fracture in her bone and it’s getting better now. Doctors had us all worried that she would need surgery. Stupid. Waste of time. And they wanted Courtney to use crutches. Pfft.
I have some photos of Makayla I need to post. Haven’t put those on my computer yet. She’s doing well. She met her great-grandparents on my mom’s side last week and her Great Uncle Matt and Aunt Melissa on Thursday.
My website also changed. It’s no longer retetched.com but
markmalta.com which makes more sense to me. But again, it’s not updated yet, which I wanted to have done before I made this post.
Check back here tonight and I might have some new photos and my website updated. It’s already done, but I have to make some changes.

Little terd is awake. She went to bed at like 6:30 and thought she was missing something so got up at 10. At least she’s being good.
Spent the day cleaning and such. Some grandparents are coming into town on Monday and are coming to our house on Tuesday. I’m excited, haven’t seen them since my Grandpi married us. So they haven’t met Makayla yet. We’re going to dinner after.
Things I got done this weekend:
• Mowed the lawn.
• Found a place for all the candle holders.
• Didn’t get to sleep in. (That’s OKAY)
• Cleaned Makayla’s room
• Dusted
• Walked around WGV for 3 hours
• Cleaned up the loft
• Sold Courtney’s clothes back to Plato’s Closet
Speaking of PC… When we walked in this one girl is screaming about her clothes and her boyfriend is yelling “I’M GOING TO F*CKING KILL YOUR BROTHER!!!” – He stormed up and down the parking lot for awhile screaming into his phone. His vocabulary was very strong.. he know lots of swear words.. so he must be smart!
They told us it would take 3 hours to find out how much we can get for Courts clothes so we went to McDonalds for lunch. This one 10 y/o (or so) kid walked by with a staring problem and I punched him in the face. Not really about the punching part but he did almost walk into the girls room because he was too busy staring at some kid’s tray. Weirdo. After that we went home.. just before we got home we called to see when the clothes would be ready and they said 15 minutes so we went all the way back. By the time we got back the cops were there because of the kid. Nothing happened.
I have some funny video of Makayla… but I’ll post it later. I want to edit some of it together. She’s getting more and more entertaining.

Gawd.
Courtney got her MRI done yesterday AND blood taken. We find out if she’s okay on Tuesday. Probably needs surgery still though. Makayla just went to bed. I don’t know if she’ll stay asleep or not. I hope so. She stayed up til 12am the other night. Pff. Anyways…
Got a new designer starting Tuesday / Wednesday next week. That is good. Hope he ramps up quickly. Have so much work to do still! AUGH.

Just kidding! I love my baby.. but sometimes I just want to.. kiss her.. on the forehead.. really hard. She didn’t quite want to go to bed tonight after she woke up at 9:30. She still isn’t asleep. She is watching me write this. For such a little thing she has a huge fascination with our computers. Good girl. A few weeks ago she manage to rip off my arrow key on my powerbook. She’s lucky I could fix it! So here it is; 11:45 and I still need to take a shower, Makayla needs to go to bed. She never stays up this late. Took her for a car ride around 10 or so. She was quiet for half the ride.. then started talking and doing raspberries.
Tomorrow I have interviews for a new graphic designer every 45 minutes starting at 10. Hiring a replacement for our junior designer is going to be hard. I knew I could give her work and she would get it done without complaining or messing around. Whoever we hire this go around better have a good attitude. Had a lot of people come through and only 4 or 5 of them I think are actually any good.

Saturday we went shopping at the Winter Garden Village for awhile. Got some house stuff and socks. Went to Macaroni Grill. Pretty good. Today we went to Badcock and got our matching couch set. Put up like 40 pictures for 2 picture walls in the house. House is starting to look more homely. Tomorrow we have a doctors appointment for Courtney’s knee.

This is my friend, Hector. Hector the vector monster. I created him today at work. He is cool, and likes to eat things. Like… his name tag. He’s wearing it because you just met him. But I don’t know if you will see more of him soon but he might acquire some new friends soon. Hector is quite shy.

Just as a quick update and clarification; “Hector” was work related and makes an appearance in a video I am working on. I got some monster ideas elsewhere but Hector is 100% original vector artwork. Also as an update about me.. I am very very very tired. I went to work at 4am this morning to get ahead and I did it. I met my goal today. Met it at like 5:20… but I did it. Took 13 hours of work but I did it. Yay!
